Good tardes familia y friends!!!
Sorry for not emailing this last week, the zone did a big soccer activity that took up a lot of our p-day!!!!
These last weeks have been soooo so crazy!!! This last week I had to go all the way to Quito to do verificaciones!! This is when I teach other trainers and they basically tell me how I can improve, and the president and ap’s can see all of my progress!! That went super good and I learned a lot that I can improve on… When I got back, it was the normal missionary work and nothing too big happened for a couple days. Though we did find some new people and taught a lot of good lessons. We have been getting very close with our investigators, and we got super nervous, as changes came this weekend. We usually receive our changes late on Saturday night, and ,man, it was a long day. The night finally came around, and we got the call from our zone leaders. The one zone leader gave us these crazy changes, and said that I was to train and be district leader in San Pablo! A few minutes later, they called us back and told us that they were totally joking and all the changes they gave us were fake!! Haha I was actually pretty disappointed!
On Sunday morning we went with a lot of people to stake conference in Otavalo. Whenever there are big meetings like this, the President of the Mission usually comes. Well, he did and, of course, we all flocked to him to figure out where we were to go. He didn’t tell anyone what they’re changes were, but he did say that I would be training!!!!!! We got home from church, ate lunch then did our personal study! After that we just went all around our sector, saying goodbye to all of our investigators because we didn’t know who was going to leave. It was pretty sad to say goodbye, and I was just hoping that I would stay the whole day. Then, that night, we got another call from our zone leaders!! My trainer, Elder Ahrens is only moving to the sector right next to ours! That will be awesome because I will still be able to see him. Now for mine. the rumors were true, and I AM GOING TO TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited and nervous at the same time! I don’t know if I am really ready, but I will be relying on the Lord a lot haha! Then we also figured out that I WILL BE DISTRICT LEADER !!!!!!! I am gonna get a lot of responsibility really quick and, haha, its kind of overwhelming! At the same time, I am just so excited that I really haven’t been too nervous!!! I am hoping I will get a Latino companion because my Spanish needs to get real good, real fast! I won’t know who my companion is until Tuesday night, then Wednesday morning we get back to work here in San Pablo! I can’t wait to get to work and share the little knowledge I have gained so far, haha!!
I am so grateful to be here and have the opportunity to serve! Often times we may get callings, or responsibilities that can seem overwhelming, even impossible! I know that it will be a struggle over the coming weeks, but I will put my 100% into the work to receieve the help I need because that is the mission. The work of God requires getting out of your comfort zone, and when we do, trying our hardest with great faith, The Lord will guide us. I love all of you thank you for all you do and for the examples you have set out for me!
