Hey everyone!!! This week has been good and bad, haha, like every week! We have had so many good lessons with members, and have a new family that is progressing well that we are hoping to put a date with tomorrow! We also have a part member family with a date and The mom has been struggling a bit with the invitations we give to her, but we had a crazy good lesson with her and she promised us that she would follow through with the reading and attending to get her answer. To give a little background, her husband got baptized about a year ago and is blind. They really have had a lot of challenges, but they both really want to serve a mission! We taught them, this week, about temples, and more than all about the sealing between the family. They really took that to heart and have set that as their goal in mind.
Other things in the week, just contacting and studies like the normal mission work! I almost have 6 months just in this one area, and haha, it would be nice to have a little bit of a change. I have had a lot of exchanges as week with my district, and we are growing super close! I love working alongside them and getting to know them better! It’s funny being district leader over a district where everyone has more time than me in the mission! It’s really been a group effort, but we are doing fantastic! We currently have 16 people with a baptism date!!!! Safe to say I have been staying crazy busy doing interviews and visiting the other sector!
On Sunday, we had a lot of success with the attendances! In our ward we had 15 investigators show up to church! It was kinda funny, I didn’t go to ward council in the morning because I was doing interviews in another area. Anyway one of the counselors accused me of not working or fulfilling responsibilities. I took him into sacrament and showed him 15 investigators that had come, and well, he just had nothing to say after that.
On Monday, I got to have a fun meeting with the zone leaders and they kinda gave me a lot of things that I need to improve on, and more than all, I’ve been trying to focus on humility to keep pressing forward and deal with all the responsibility, but it has been very very rewarding during my time here so far!!
Today we visited a really cool waterfall, got some sketchy Ecuador vaccinations [flu shots], and bought a ton of gifts for home! So, that was my week!! Thank you family and friends for all you to to help and support me !! I love you all and hope you all have great weeks!!!
