wooowwwww everyone this has been an interesting week!!!
I’m just for this week go for the highlights or crazy stuff that had happened!
1. I had to do three separate exchanges with different companions ships in the zone. One Elder, Elder Becerra from Colombia, (btw thickest Colombian accent pretty hard to understand him haha), anyway I had my exchange with him on Wednesday, and I had the pleasure of staying here in Ilumán… So, we were just walking up to this house and started talking to this chick, and , all of the sudden, I felt a dog jump up on my leg. Now, usually I ignore that because the dogs here are super annoying. So, yeah, the dog bit the crap out of my upper leg. I thought for sure I was gonna be bleeding everywhere and I would have to get checked for rabies and deal with all the annoying medical stuff that comes with that, but we left and I checked where the dog had bitten me, and there was not even a mark. He did bit me over my garments, and I’m convinced it was a miracle because that was a BIG dog.
2. On Sunday, I finished reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish!!!!!!! I didn’t think that I would get much out of it being in a different language, but I had never got so much out of it before. It was a great experience that I will never forget.
3. So, on Saturday night, we had gotten a call from our district leader, assuming he had some info to report, but he proceeded to tell us that they were currently in their house because his comp was not willing to work. to give some background, this missionary had some problems that he didn’t take care of before the mission and was just not feeling great about it. We had already known this, but apparently he just wanted to go home completely. Obviously, the next step was calling president to figure out what to do. Anyway, ever since Saturday, we have been in a companionship of 4! It has been very interesting, but we are basically just lost right now, until we receive further instructions… We are assuming his comp will just end up staying with us until the end of the change after the other leaves, we just don’t know exactly what will be happening.
4. So today, we went to the city of Ibarra. We went shopping in this big store called supermaxi! I found goldfish, reeses, Tabasco, ramen noodles, mac’n cheese, and a ton of other food that I have not seen for months!!! I spent sooooo much money on food today, haha, but I could not be happier!! Its been a good day!
